LMI is the sole US distributor for the European-based steering system manufacturer, JP3. This company specializes in self–aligning, watertight rudder bearings (found in 100% of the current Volvo 70 fleet), quadrants, steering heads, and titanium wheels, as well as the innovative FBS system, which provides feed back sensation for yachts with hydraulic steering.

Loughborough Marine Interests (LMI) specializes in the refit, restoration, construction and storage of both sailing and power yachts. We also coordinate projects on behalf of owners and captains, both locally and worldwide. LMI has two locations in Rhode Island the main office in downtown Newport and a 12,500 sq ft storage facility in Portsmouth.
